In everyone, there’s a mix of good and bad. We can be nice and not so nice at the same time. This shows up in how we see others — they might seem really kind to some and not so kind to others.

Two Best Friends Meet:

Let me tell you a story about two best friends, Sam and Alex. When they first met, Sam thought Alex was really warm, kind, and always supportive. To Sam, Alex was like a guardian angel, always there to cheer them up when things got tough.

The Kind Friend:

Alex’s kindness showed in many ways. During hard times, they were there for Sam, giving advice and comfort. Alex was always generous, whether it was helping out or just being there to make Sam feel better.

Once, when Sam was feeling really down and lost, Alex didn’t hesitate to help. They listened to Sam’s worries, gave them advice, and encouraged them. Alex’s support helped Sam get through the tough times.

The Surprising Truth:

But as time passed, Sam saw another side of Alex. Behind closed doors, Alex could be tricky, dishonest, and sometimes hurtful. Sam saw how Alex’s actions hurt others, breaking trust and ruining relationships.

It was a shock for Sam. The perfect image they had of Alex was shattered. The angelic friend Sam once saw now seemed flawed, like they had their own problems to deal with.

Thinking About People:

Thinking about Alex’s good and bad sides made Sam realize something. People aren’t just good or bad. We all have good and bad qualities. It’s not easy to judge someone because they can surprise us with their actions.

In a world where people are often labelled as good or bad, Sam learned that it’s not that simple. We’re all a mix of good and bad, trying to figure things out as we go along.

Seeing the Gray Areas:

What’s right and wrong isn’t always clear. It depends on many things, like how we grew up and what we’ve been through. What seems right to one person might seem wrong to another.

Sam understood that life isn’t just black and white. People can be kind one moment and unkind the next. It’s this mix of good and bad that makes us human.

Finding Balance:

In our relationships, we need to find balance. Even if someone has both good and bad sides, it’s not up to us to judge them. Instead, we should try to understand them and be kind.

Looking back on their friendship, Sam realises that they and Alex are both flawed. We’re all trying to do our best in a complicated world. And that’s what makes life interesting.

Conclusion:

In life, nobody is perfect. We all have good and bad parts. By accepting this and being understanding, we can build better relationships. Let’s look past quick judgments and see the good and bad in everyone, including ourselves. That’s what makes us truly human.
